Alvin Toffler wrote a book in the 1970s called Future Shock. When I read the book, about the only thing I can recall was that he said it wasn't change that people would object to, it would be the rapid pace of change. I now understand what he was saying.
So how does Madonna fit into this? Well, Madonna, through her career, has managed to change and reinvent her brand to continue to be popular and generate revenue.
The art of change is to be able to accomplish it so people notice the change and come away with a positive perception of the change. The change must propel you forward toward your long-term goals.
