Every business has exposures and risks that threaten its viability. Lyman & Sheets has more than a century of experience defining risk and recommending specific coverage that fits both your business and your budget.

Including: Trucking (long and short haul) • Haulers • Bus Lines • Movers
All types of trucking, transport, transit lines and motor carriers for hire are subject to numerous rules, regulations and laws established by state and federal agencies. Truckers who operate within a single state are subject to the regulations and statutes of that state only. Operations conducted between states fall into the domain of interstate commerce and are subject to the United States Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. These regulations address the relationship between the motor carrier and the public. They are concerned with the liability of the motor carrier for injury to persons and damage to the property of others, and the responsibility to the owner of shipments or to passengers riding in a conveyance. The motor carrier must have insurance coverage with acceptable insurance companies to meet those financial responsibilities to the public. If traditional insurance coverage is not written, certain minimum self-insurance requirements must be met.

Coverage Applicable: Liability, Property, Loss of Income, Equipment Breakdown, Contractor’s Equipment, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Employment Practices Liability, Directors & Officers Coverage, Crime Coverage, Workers’ Compensation, Life & Health Coverage, Professional Liability, Surety Bonds, Environmental Coverage

how can we help you?

Let Lyman & Sheets help you navigate the insurance landscape.

When I arrived 15 minutes after receiving a call about a fire at our business, I was amazed to see Dave Drayton already on the scene and in contact with our carrier. He and his team saw us through the entire claim and rebuild process, and we received a very fair settlement. This is a good example of why we use Lyman & Sheets for our insurance needs.
